It is not often I write letters to companies that I do business with, but I felt compelled to do so in this instance as my experience was such a pleasant one. I had the pleasure to visit your service center on Central Ave on 7/23/09 and was greeted by your store manager, Mr. Lee Morrin. I explained the situation of bringing in a good friend’s vehicle to have the brakes inspected and serviced prior to her trip north to Canada with a car full of friends and family. I was fully aware that work was going to be needed, and also that the tires were in need of replacement as well. My friend is a single mother of three, self-employed, and just in the last 18 months has successfully fought her battle with breast cancer. She never once has complained about the tough situation she was dealt, but instead touches and helps the lives of others more than anyone can image.
I felt it was only the “right thing to do” to help her out financially and get her some new tires and pay for the tire rod that was bad as well. Mr. Morrin went out of his way to contact his suppliers to obtain the best pricing for parts, and was the ultimate professional and helpful individual I could have met that day.
He was able to experience her surprise first hand when she came in to pick up her car. And then came the ultimate surprise! He called me long distance to thank me for my business and generosity toward my friend. I was stunned, to say the least, but happy that there are still people in today’s world that value people for who they are, and not just their credit cards. You are lucky to have him managing your store, and I’m sure knowing my friend and her many contacts, he will be receiving multiple referrals for future business. I will leave it up to you as to what you do with this letter of compliment, but you are very lucky to have Mr. Morrin as an employee, and he deserves at the very minimum, a compliment for a “job well done.”
