New owners Walt and Kathleen Buraconak, long-time residents of Farmington Hills, have always been actively involved in their community. They have two children in the Farmington School District, and Kathleen works at Alameda Early Childhood Center in Farmington Hills. Walt, a classic car aficionado and Dream Cruise participant with his 1981 Trans-Am, was until recently employed for many years in the automobile supplier business. But, when recent economic events resulted in a change, Walt and Kathleen began to search for just the right business to begin a new chapter in their lives. When the opportunity to own and operate Tuffy, right here in their own community, they felt it was a perfect fit.
